Introducing the New Design Team!

I am so excited to be able to finally announce our Brand New DT!

Thank you to everyone who e mailed me, it was so hard to choose from so many talented crafters. I hope to expand the team in a few months time (early 2012) and will also be on the look out for Guest Designers so please don't be disappointed if you didn't make it this time around.

Anyway without further ado the new Design Team members are:

Purely coincidence!!   Lol!!

If you are coming along to our next Open Day on Saturday, Jenny will be demonstrating so you will get a chance to see her cards and pick up some new tips and ideas!

Packages of yummy new goodies from the shop will be winging their way to the DT in the next few weeks and I can't wait to see what they create!

Give Away Winner!!

Firstly huge apologies it has taken a while to draw the winner of my giveaway!

Now, I know there are fancy systems like the Random Generator or whatever it's called for selecting winners but I much prefer the old fashioned method of picking a piece of paper out of the bowl, unfold it and see whose name is written on it!

So, this afternoon I wrote all the names on slips of paper and asked my daughter to choose one!

What's New!!

I have been busy unpacking deliveries and adding some new stock to the shop !!

So I have a quick run down of the new arrivals for you....

The  Random Collection  from Crate Paper arrived yesterday, I'm especially loving this chipboard and can't wait to use it on my layouts and cards.

These letter stickers from Jenni Bowlin are great for titles, we also have the tiny circle letters and the very popular chalkboard stickers in various colourways.

The new collection from Fancy Pants designs, "Summer's End" has also just landed, I've got to finish unpacking it and upload it to the website but I love the colours and can't wait to use these chipboard banners.

A huge thank you to everyone who has e mailed me to apply for the new S J Crafts Design Team, I have to say I am a little overwhelmed by the great response and I know I am going to have a tough job selecting the team! I'll be in touch with everyone who applied as soon as I can.

In case you are wondering I haven't forgotten about the giveaway from last week, I will draw the winner as soon as I am done uploading the new stock!

S J Crafts Design Team Call

I have lots of plans for S J Crafts over the next few months and creating the new Design Team is the first step of this exciting time!

I am currently looking for Scrapbookers & Card Makers who would like to join our brand new Design Team. 
If you are interested in designing sample layouts for S J Crafts to be featured on this blog and in craft magazines and other publicity material then please get in touch.

The design team will receive a package/kit of some of the new papers and products to work with. All you have to do is design and make a layout or 2 and maybe a card or other projects and e mail me the images and details of the process and products you used. If you have a blog, you will be expected to post your layouts/cards on your blog and link back to the shop and I'll link to your blog as well! It would also be helpful if you are an active member of any craft/scrapping forums and on line crafting community. You get to keep any leftovers from the kit too!!

I'm expecting delivery of some new scrapbooking collections in the next week or two from leading manufacturers so the new S J Crafts designers would receive their first package fairly quickly so you need to be available for the next few weeks at least.

If you think you may be interested in this, here's what you need to do:

1: send an e mail to me at this address ... sarah at sj papercrafts dot co dot uk (obv turn it into a proper e mail , just don't want loads of spammers!!)
2: Send me the link to your blog & more specifically layouts that you feel highlight your style.
3: Tell me a bit about yourself, how long you have been scrapping, any other design teams you have worked on, any other crafts you do, on line communities etc...
4: Let me know if you could design on a regular basis (say monthly/bi monthly) or if you prefer to do a one off spot! 

I'll keep this call open until next Thursday (15th) .... I can't wait to hear from you!
